This 31 tooth gear is just what the Dr. ordered for my 2006 Wrangler with 33” tires and 3.73 gears. The speedometer is in near perfect synchrony with the GPS speedometer app on my phone. Took like 15 minutes to install, and part of that was cleaning the housing so no gunk falls into the transfer case. Nice!

I saw one other user who mentioned their TJ configured with BFG KO 33" (32.7") tires was 2-3MPH off with this gear. I didn't use any accurate tech, but my GPS and two local speedo signs seem to think it's perfectly on the dot.This is probably because my tires are at 60PSI. High for the 40-80PSI range/weight chart but alas, it's the only difference I could really note.On the Jeep TJ's, for those that didn't know (hi, that's me), the sensor assembly that holds this gear can be clocked 0*, 90*, 180*, and 270*. Each position is locked in by a forked metal bracket (which is the only bolt needed to remove this part). I.e. each quarter turn changes what size gears will mesh inside the transfer case. The gear sizes are labeled on the assembly and probably covered in muddy grease. You're going to want to clock it differently, I bet. I flipped mine 180* from the way it was installed to get the right fit. The speedo will just not work otherwise.

Installation was easy and this gave the results I was looking for. Speed is now correct in my LJ after a tire swap to 33s. Price was good compared to the alternatives.

Received extremely fast and was a perfect match to get the speedometer accurate to within 1 mph. A little pricey, but this was least expensive I found.

I put a set of 285/75r16 on my Jeep LJ they measure roughly 32" tall and the Jeep has 3.73 gears. This speedo gear corrected my speedo and is dead on. I checked at lower speeds all the way up to 80 in comparison to the speed on my GPS and it was dead on the across the whole range.

Background: 99' TJ; 3.73 gears; BFG KO 33x10.5x15 (true size: 32.7"x10.6"x15")Pro: Cost less than other brand, delivered fast; less likely to get a speeding ticket.Cons: Appears to be reading 2-3 MPH from what my actual speed. I took the reading at the same time using Speed Box app radar detector I found set up on the highway.I would recommend for the price. If I had 33"-33.9"" tires, speed most likely would be correct.
