Not ready to go out of the box, leaked at first. You need to disassemble, stretch o-rings without breaking them, put a little oil on them, put them back in and make sure they seat properly. Before reinstalling it, I filled it up with water amd sealed one side with my hand and blew in it to pressurize it. After I did that, there were no leaks!

Easy to install. On arrival, the o-rings were a little small. Look on YouTube for methods to loosen up the dry shipped o-rings, make sure they're seated properly and the parts are properly tightened, not overtightened, and it doesn't leak at all. Installed it, warmed up my 98 Silverado, and once it's up to operating temp the filter burps itself. Very happy with my purchase, its already catching debris from the coolant. Easy to disassemble and clean. A well engineered design, not plastic garbage.

I installed and could not get the glass to seal. Do they make additional gaskets / orings to seal the glass to the end pieces without fear of breaking the glass from over tightening?

This filter caused a huge leak! I couldn't get it to seal and wasted a bunch of time. I ended up with a radiator hose I couldnt use any more since I had to cut it to install it and now I have to purchase a new one. If you want to take the gamble go for it but the system it uses seal the glass part of the filter is so weak bad that it's honestly just mind blowing and infuriating, I even tried to use rtv and no luck. Waste of coolant too..
