They will work, and a casual observer would never notice the size difference. Lesson learned. It may be rusty underneath, but leave it alone. Never remove the VIN tag.

This is exactly what I need in the process of my Nova being redone, thank you so much, exactly what I was needing for my Nova as it's getting a brand new upper Dash panel and need to keep the original VIN number and to do that you have to have the proper rivets

This works great. Matches factory vin rivets. This is a must have if you are swapping a cab on your truck. Mine truck was a old farm truck a the cab was all rotted out and bought another one from Texas that was clean but wanted my vin to match the cab. You will need to remove the windshield to install.
