I bought this for the sole purpose of torquing main bolts on HD diesel engines (Cummins ISX and Paccar MX-13) and I always use a 1” impact with an adapter. I’ve used it on about 10 engines so far and have beat the absolute hell out of it and expected it to start wearing down on the sides where the anvil hits it and it hasn’t shown ANY signs of wear at all. I would recommend this over buying a $60 snap on socket any day.

I had a problem with my electric hot water heater needing a replacement of the top heating element. When I tried to remove it with the wrench that I had I found that it was frozen and the 12 point socket was about to strip the brass hex on the element. I decided that I needed a 1 7/8 impact socket that I could attach to my impact wrench. I checked with all of the local hardware shores in my area and no one had anything close to that size. I then went on line and searched and finally found just what I needed on Amazon for far less that any other seller plus I would have the next day. When it arrived I put in on my impact gun and it removed it without hesitation and I was able to get my hot water heater up and running within an hour saving me from spending a ton of money if I had to buy a new heater because I couldn't remove the element.

Really thick wall six point impact socket. My guns put out 900 and 1500 lbs. feet of torque, and I use a 1 1/2” socket a lot. I also like the fact that the size is stamped deeply into the socket so it won’t wear off.
