My dog uses it more during is training and touching the “wobble”. It is none slippery. We put it on the carpet because when the sides touch the wood floor it can make a loud noise. Durable build and very nice colors.

Very solid and sturdy device with excellent texturing on top surface provides useful, challenging balance training. Gives your cerebellum an excellent balance workout and, as the same region of the brain plays an important role in higher cognition, also has the potential to improve your clarity and focus… all that and fun too -for a stunningly small investment.

This JFIT Balance Board is super well made! It has a non-slip top to stand on and the handles make it easy to pick up. I have had my neck and back rebuilt with titanium, rods, pins, shims and whatever else they need to put me back together (Gorilla Glue?). Needless to say, my muscles have gotten weaker, and my stability is sometimes a bit wobbly. This JFIT board really does work your muscles, legs and ankles and more. I would recommend standing in a doorway and holding on to both sides even when you think you got the hang of it, stay in the doorway when using it. I would also recommend using a rubber mat (bathmat works) under the board if you are using it on hard surface floors. I Love the Purple, Blue & Magenta Swirl Color! It's a vivid beautiful color! I would highly recommend this JFIT Board!

This JFIT wobble board's rocker has a *huge* radius of curvature, making it far too easy to balance on. It is much easier to balance on than even on an inverted Bosu ball. I can balance on the JFIT relaxed with my hands in my pocket. Perhaps I will keep the JFIT as a warm-up board, or an extended use board, because I *can* feel it working my muscles. After all, balance is balance, and every muscle in your body comes into play. One relaxed muscle will throw you off balance. So maybe I am being a little too harsh in this review. For you, this board may be exactly what you need. Based on all of the positive reviews, I assume that that is the case. The Chango R4 balance point, on the other hand, has a 2" radius of curvature, which really gives you a challenge and a workout. You can feel every muscle in your body trembling. On that board, you are lucky if you can maintain your balance for more than a few seconds. One important attribute of the JFIT balance board is that it is much easier on your floor or carpet. You would probably want to put a small piece of plywood under the Chango R4.I am sure that JFIT designed its wobble board with such a large radius of curvature rocker in order to support a wider audience. A lot or research goes into designing exercise equipment.UPDATE:The more that I work with the JFIT, the more appreciate what it has to offer. It has a place among my fitness equipment, in addition to the much more challenging wobble boards, like the Chango R4.(1) Because the JFIT is easier, you can use it for more difficult exercises. For example, you can learn to use it with your eyes closed, without the reference feedback from the visual horizon. This develops your inner senses, and improves your ability to maintain balance in unexpected circumstances.(2) The board is accessible to additional family members, including those who are initially afraid of trying it.(3) Because it requires less concentration, you can leave it out and just casually balance on it for a few seconds whenever you pass by.(4) The JFIT board is lightweight and portable, but with a sturdy wood platform, and an excellent non-slip surface.(5) The handle slots are a nice bonus, both for ease of carrying, and for use for additional types of exercises. The handle slots will not get in your way when balancing.I have increased my rating to 4 stars.

This is a challenging wobble board thanks to the spherical pivot, compared to others with a very shallow arc to them. I love that it had minimal packaging and is made of a biodegradable material. Except for the rubber surface, it won't add to the plastic pollution of the planet, which is a big plus. Healthy planet, healthy body.

True to its description this device is well made and effective as a balance enhancement device. For people requiring development of muscle tone and reflex therapy through balance activities- this is the right product. I appreciate especially the size of the round wooden half sphere at bottom that leaves a short tipping height to prevent a serious fall. The surface of the standing area is covered with a slip resistant coating that assists staying on the board. It's remarkable how many muscles, joints and bones are required to assist keeping one's balance.

All those reviews that say this balance-board is difficult to stand on? Well it is -- but isn't that what you *want* from a balance board? And it's not like it's difficult to get on or off of it or anything ---- it's merely difficult to stand on it without any of the edges touching the floor. If you can't stand on it *that* way for more than a second (or even as *much* as a second) --- don't give this bad reviews! Instead, realize that, on a board like this, even the *briefest* time that you can balance it is significant!!If you can only balance on it for half a second --- keep practicing till you can do so for three-quarters of a second. When you can do that, then your next step is to practice till you can balance on it for a full second. After that, the next step is to work to one-and-a-quarter second --- then a second-and-a-half --- then two seconds ----- and as time goes on, work to balance on it for longer and longer periods of time!!!Yes --- balancing on it is difficult. But *that* is how, by training to balance on it for longer and longer periods of time, your balance gets to be *super* balance!!!!

Very difficult to find a wooden balance board with a true, half-sphere bottom at a good value and decent build quality.Non-slip surface covers the entirety of the board area. This is everything I hoped for and more.Bought for strengthening smaller stabilizing muscles in the legs, and for having better balance on non-stable surfaces.
