The light is bright enough. The usb is a nice feature. Hums pretty loud - noticed no difference from this to previous versions as stated. I bought this one primarily for the music mode. It did not work. It will flash if bumped physically but does nothing when music is playing. I’ll be returning product.

We were looking for options for our camp to have a glow in the dark dodgeball environment without using hundreds of glow sticks taped to the floor....this has been a great fit so far! We purchased battery packs to recharge each time and have to use very little tape to secure ends and along the line so campers don't trip. We have had a few of the packs get kicked in the middle of the game but they have withstood some intense games pretty well. Overall this is a great and much more affordable option for us. We are very pleased!

Easy to make an creative lighting setup. I used it for a Tiki Bar I built, and all the strands pulse to the music in sync. Just run the wires where you want to see them, plug it in, and they light up according to your settings (on or music sensitive). Not sure why it asks for a "adhesion" rating because these are just wires to be run, not sticky LED lighting strips.

I purchased these "strings" of light to replace an old, failed neon tube that was part of a wall decoration in my den. I liked the look of the "neon" lights that I got, especially for the price, because it did a pretty good job of replicating the look of the neon tubes butat a very reasonable price. What I didn't like is that there is quite a bit of noise from the supplied power transformer. It relies on a user provided standard usb power block and cord for inputs. I don't know if the noise is normal and can be ignored (if possible) or alternatively if it is a sign of a fire hazard or something like that. I changed out the usb adapter I was using and that didn't make a difference that I could tell. So, I have not left these lights on when they would be unattended, but it would be good to know if this is an issue. This is a sort of novelty application for me but in circumstances where there is much of a fire hazard I urge a prospective buyer to get more info and/or for the seller to be proactive in the listing in talking about what noise level is normal and/or safe. If it is safe it is pretty easy to tolerate a little buzzing. If it is not safe it is a reminder that something is overheating and might burn down your house.I should not that the leads that actually light up do not get hot and I do not think that they pose any sort of burn hazard, even with young kids. My grandchildren like the look of the lights so they are sort of a "magnet" for touching in that sense. But I don't know what to think of the controller where the buzzing originates.

Pairs wonderfully with a power brick for lower waste lighting on the move.
