I like this wok. It's not really heavy in the sense of being difficult to use. It heats up nicely and does what you need a wok to do. Reasonable to care for, as you would any cast iron pan.

My friend sanded this pan to a mirror shine, then coated it with oil and baked a perfect finish on the pan of golden color and it turned out to be the best non stick wok ever. And when I cook bacon, I place the ENTIRE package in it, turn the heat to medium and slowly cook that, and as the fat builds up, you are actually deep frying the bacon. And then moving it up on the sides to drain, and removing drained bacon, leaving the oils in the bottom to be poured out. I cook boneless chicken thighs, and then add spices, water, stirring in eggs and vegetables for the BEST egg drop soup around that trumps any sold in a restaurant. Rice, vegetables, etc… one of my favorite pans. And easy to clean.

I have been using this from past 4 years and I am really happy with the purchase, mostly doing indian cooking like cooking curries, deep frying etc., honestly I have not been very careful with the maintainence like putting oil after use etc., mostly washed after use with hot water, occasionally with soap, if the surface looks dull then only applied oil. I have no trouble at all. So don't listen to any negetive comments, you won't regret.

I was concerned when I received it. I had an old metal wok that finally wore out and I wanted a better one. Once I used it, I loved it. Stir fries seem to cook more evenly in this wok and veggies stay crisper. I removed one star because it is heavy and handles can get hot, which is an issue since my old wok had wooden handles. However, I still love the way this one cooks so it is definitely a keeper.

Me parece buen sartén.

Good for camping and at home. Have been used it on a fire pit grill in provincial parks, on a little gas stove; and at home inside a gas bbq. Just close the lid and use a wooden spoon to turn or move veggies. Works very well for veggies, and even grilled a T-Bone steak and eggs for breakfast during camping with it before threatening rain. Absolutely brilliant. We just use water afterwards and then oil it till next time. It can take heat like a three-legged cast iron pot.

I've needed a wok for a while, never considered cast iron before but saw this at a very reasonable price and figured I'd give it a shot. No regrest- this pot is amazing! It's light weight, easy to handle, easy to clean- all I had to do was a quick salt scrub rinse and a stove-top seasoning with olive oil and it's perfectly non-stick. The heat is even so it stir fries consistently- you could even probably use it as a deep skillet for braising or make small batches of soup (with a lid- I have a universal one that fits). I live in a small city apartment and getting used to cooking again since the shutdown- I'll be using this versatile piece a lot.Caveat- I've used cast iron skillets for years, so I'm used to caring for it. It's worth the extra effort, IMHO.

I’m from the south and found the maker, Jim Beam, to be hilarious. Guess they decided to create this wok to fry up some vittles to go with their whisky. This wok is a versatile pan which is why I bought it. From shrimp stir fry to fajitas, it gives a nice char and a great cooking finish. I find a lot of these reviews to be silly. It is a small wok, but not tiny. I have a family of three and it is perfect however the real reason I bought it was because it’s small enough to fit on a burner and still have room to cook on the other three if ever needed. It is nonstick but you have to keep it oiled so it won’t rust. If you don’t know anything about cast iron and how to care for it, YouTube it and educate yourself. Perhaps you might not be the type to own it. I think a lot of these reviews are either written by the competitor or by over the top picky people. It’s just a pan. A well made beautiful and excellent pan. And it’s inexpensive. Seriously. The only beef you should have about it should be in the pot!
