The rails are made from cold rolled steel and finished with black power coating. They occupy 1 RU of rack space. M6 screws and cage nuts are included for mounting onto rack or cabinet.
The usage spaces are as below:
1. In 19" rack, the usage width of the product is about 17.3".
2. The middle piece without adding the front and back brackets are about 16.5 inches.

This is a very short rail - I’m not entirely sure what its purpose is, perhaps racking a short battery tray in a telecom cabinet? If your cabinet is a standard depth server rack, this probably won’t work for you. Double check your rack depth before you order!

I have some heavy equipment in my home lab server rack being held up by these. My storage shelf was a little bit of a tight fit but I did get it in there. These are very handy if you don't have the exact rails for the device you want to mount or for things you can't attach rails to.

I'm waiting to find a "perfect" rackmount ATX case, so in the meantime, I'm using a standard PC case, but I'd like to put it into the rack, somehow...Enter the JINGCHENGMEI 1U 19 inch Server Rack Rails. I assembled and installed these in a matter of minutes and they easily accommodated my PC case. It's certainly not a perfect solution, but will get me by until I have a proper case.

Buying used data center servers saves me money, but the servers usually don't have a complete rail kit. Those kits get EXPENSIVE. In the past, I might use a single server on rails as the "floor" for stacking other server (while still securing the ears with screws/nuts). I'm less and less interested in that, though, especially as I move to having fewer servers, so I get shelf rails instead. It took less than 5 minutes to the JINGCHENGME rails into my 4-post rack. Some racks/equipment may work with the rails flipped, but even then you can still lose one square of post height per shelf (about 1/2"), because the thickness of the shelf (about 1/16") made the fit a little too tight to have the components stacked one on top of each other. Overall, the product seems to be of decent quality, and in line with its $35 price (with 6% coupon, at the time of this review). Recommended

These rack rails were just the right fit for my small, 16U rack, as well as my budget. I have a heavy, 2U UPS sitting on them, making it easy to service the unit when the battery needs replacing. Instructions were a little bit lacking but I figured it out.

I installed three of these rail kits in a 9U 24” deep rack in order to support two 2U servers and a 1U server. The rails are well made and rigid when assembled. The kits include all required nuts and bolts installation was easy.As others have mentioned the rails take up some space which means you should plan on having to space equipment apart by one rack slot. So in my 9U rack I was able to mount 7U of equipment.
