It works. The 52mm front ring does stick out a bit from the front barrel when the lens is out. These filter adapters usually go on once - due to the use of double-sided mounting tape and the difficulty of cutting a new piece to the right size without a die, you might be better off buying a second copy of this rather than trying to reattach the adapter once it's off.

So I just installed it and it works perfectly with my zv1. Now I'm able to use an variable nd filter for low shutter speed. In order to get mine to stick well, I added a coffee mug on top of the lens adapter for 30 min. So far so good. Hopefully it doesn't fall like in some other cases.

Simple and effective. I've seen reviews stating the adhesive doesn't hold. Mine has been in place a few weeks in hot weather and seems absolutely secure. I do believe through cleaning is essential...I use 99.9% pure denatured alcohol.

I contacted your support via your website, as directed from Amazon, and have not received any response. The lens cap keeps on getting stuck on the adapter. I have to pull the adapter from the camera so I can take the lens cap off. This happened 3 times now and I have used all the adhesives for the adapter to stick on to the camera. First, how can I get more of the adhesive. Second, how can I resolve the issue of the lens cap getting stuck.

JJC Dedicated Metal Filter Adapter Lens Adapter for Sony ZV-1 II RX100 VII VI RX100M7 RX100M6 for Canon G5X Mark II Installing 52mm UV CPL ND Filter,Includes 52mm Snap-On Lens Cap & Cap Keeper StringI put this adapter on Sony ZV-1. fits perfect and lens retracts in just fine. Just be slow and careful putting it on aligned properly. Obviously this is a semi permanent install since its adhesive tape. You will need gunk remover to get the adhesive off, should you choose to remove the adapter. Once it's on, you can put on any 52mm filter works. There is a lenscap it comes with but i dont use it. I put a UV lens protector 24/7 on the Zv-1... and when i want to swap to an ND filter, i take it off and swap for ND. I use the UV filter as a permanent "lens protector" -- just make sure you buy a good quality one so as to not introduce discoloration or flare. In terms of the build quality its all metal and no issues with the threading. Adhesive seems to stick on just fine. When the lens is out, you obviously see the adapter flare out ... its a bit unsightly but thats the compromise here for the price... This is much much much more cost effective than the other companies that offer magnetic snap-on kits. In my opinion this is better value. The other brands out there cost almost 200CAD!! no thanx.

I bought this for my Sony ZV-1! It's very easy to install and you get an extra sticker in case the lens cover comes off (I doubt it will happen). It doesn't block the lens and it protects it perfectly!

この商品はzv1から使用しています。ZV-1M2になって内蔵ndが収納されましたがやはり細かな調整ができるレンズ式が使いやすいということで今回も購入しました。装着時に出っ張りがなく違和感がないのがとても気に入っています。

It fits on great without vignette and is very minimal bulk added. The grip is very good so I didn’t have any fear of it falling off. This was tested on an rx100 VII.

The steel adapter ring is applied to the front of the Sony RX100 (M6 in my case, not sure if it will fit others in the RX100 series) and then you can optionally screw in a 52mm filter (and/or use the lens cap provided). I like the idea of protecting the front of the lens as well as the flimsy "shutter" over the lens when the camera is turned off, by using a UV filter at all times. The fit and finish of the ring is good and it does not block the lens in any way, open or closed or zoomed in/out. The steel adapter ring is held in place flush on the front of the lens by 3M adhesive tape. The manufacturer description here on Amazon (and on the package) says it is "removable and eco friendly" however I'm finding the ring seems to be bonded to the front of the lens now after a few days of being installed. I tried heating it with a hairdryer, and passing a thin string down between the ring and the lens where the adhesive tape is located. I tried prying gently with a plastic tool. I used enough force that I started worrying about damaging the camera and finally gave up. I merely wanted to know if it could be removed, and was also going to test another brand adapter ring, but apparently this one is not coming off. I emailed the manufacturer JJC through their website page for this item but never got a reply about procedure for removing it. If they ever reply, I will update this review. The package does come with a spare 3M sticker if you ever do get it off of there.By the way, when this ring is installed, it adds just over 1/8 inch of thickness (not quite 3/16 inch) to the camera lens. If you add a filter, such as the thinner B&W UV filter, you have a total of just over 1/4 inch extra thickness. It's enough that you may have to get a different camera case or bag. The other brand adapter ring I ordered is called the Lensmate Quick-Change Filter Adapter (get the one for the Mark 6 if you need that one). It's made of plastic and uses sort of a bayonet design to attach the UV filter to the ring installed on the camera (again with 3M adhesive). The Lensmate is just a fraction thinner than the JJC design, and worth a look if you are going to get one of these. If I ever get the JJC off I'll give the Lensmate a try and review separately.
