I tried the JodyJazz HR soprano mouthpiece a while back and it was unbelievably responsive and very bright. I wanted something like that for alto, but this mouthpiece doesn't play that way. It plays well, but for me it's nothing special compared to others. It's a high quality piece though, so I would still recommend trying it - results will vary!

サックスを長年吹いています。私の場合、パワーリングを使った時の音質が今一で、Silversteinが合っていました、このHR*はクオリティが高く、アルティシモも出しやすいですが、音色が明るめ（メイヤーと比べて）というわけではないので、明るいリード（私の場合、La Voz)と合わせて使うと、程よいバランスの倍音が適度に乗ったジャズ向きの良い音が得られます。

Produces a great sound on my alto sax; good tone and great volume. I also have a Jody Jazz mouthpiece for my baritone sax. If you're ready to upgrade from a stock student mouthpiece, this is a good pick.

I got my mouthpiece with the box crushed. Not sure when in transit it happened or if it was delivered with a crushed box. Other than that, the mouthpiece is amazing! Perfect for those looking for their first Jazz Mouthpiece. I went from a Selmer S80 C* to this and it was a smooth transition! Love the brightness!

I am finding this mouthpiece to be everything it was billed to be. It is as free blowing as my old Selmer S80 with much greater variation in volume and tone available and consistently reproducible. The Rico ligature that comes with the mouthpiece is nice but has a very small placement window on the mouthpiece to get the most from my reed. I use Legere Signature reeds. Very happy with this purchase.
