I have a John Deere GT235 with 48” deck. My old belt broke, so I ordered a new OEM belt. The new belt lasted less than 30 minutes before it broke and flew into a lot of pieces with a shredded belt left.I contacted the seller who quickly took care of the issue by providing a new belt. I placed it on today, and I can happily say, the belt worked perfectly and the mower did as a mower should.Pleased with the belt but more pleased with seller who took care of the issue.I can’t speak of non-OEM belts or how they fare against the OEM version, but I can say the OEM belt does fine.

I have a John Deere Model GX255 Lawn Tractor. The primary mower drive belt broke. I thought I would save money by purchasing one of the cheaper off-brand belts. I actually purchased 2 of the off-brand belts to have a spare. Both off-brand belts broke within 10 minutes of use. Note: I had already checked all of the pulleys on the mower deck and the drive pulley on the tractor, and they were in good shape. I decided to purchase this John Deere belt. I installed it, and it has been working perfectly. Stay away from the cheaper off-brand belts. I highly recommend this John Deere belt!
