The product description states that the country of origin is the USA. The product label, however, states that it was made in China. I, therefore, would rate the quality of this item inferior to those made in the USA.

This level came flopping around in a large box with a small piece of paper for "packaging materials". The level is straight and it reads correctly in every orientation except the one in the picture. It's unknown if the issue is related to manufacturing or shipping, but the latter is certainly suspect.I am returning it for a hopefully – well – packaged replacement.I will update as soon as I have the new level.Update: The replacement level showed up in an even bigger, even emptier box with a perfectly level-sized hole in one end. It too, was inaccurate. Crappy quality control? Possibly. Crappy shipping department? Definitely.
