This is really really helpful for smoking and for barbecue. The fact that it is telescoping is super handy, because sometimes they get into areas that are really hot and this ensures that you can keep your hands safe.I have a few Joseph Joseph kitchen items and I like them all. As handy as the telescoping function is, I only wish it were more of a smooth telescoping action. That aside, this is a useful tool. Unlike a longer form it doesn’t take up more room than a normal one. The quality is good, too.

As a Joseph myself, I do love me some Joseph Joseph utensils. This one is great too, and I can't wait for grilling season to try it out. The retractable (or extendable, as you wish) works great. Tines are sharp for poking your meat. It's a nice finish and looks good hanging with your other utensils. Great price. I'd recommend.

As with all Joseph Joseph products, this BBQ fork is impeccably designed and engineered, with an excellent attention to detail and quality. The price is steep, because of the retractible feature, but that also means this is a bbq utensil that can fit in a standard size kitchen drawer. That's a rare feature to find!I do wish they offered the full line of these retractible utensils in a set with a discounted bulk price!

The Joseph Joseph GrillOut Stainless Steel BBQ Fork is interesting.It works great as the bbq fork. It will also handle your Thanksgiving Turkey too.This is probably a 3.5 star item for a couple reasons.1. The retractability is just not needed. It doesn’t make sense at all. It is something that could go wrong. This also takes away from the look of the fork.2. The hollow back of the fork may be a concern down the road and it doesn’t look great. The heavy gauge does alleviate immediate concerns.

We did a pork butt for my daughter's birthday and my old fork had broke so when I saw this I picked it up. It came packaged just fine, with no defects, as far as I could see. It has a great feature that you can extend or retract it which was great for storage. I used it just fine for the butt and had no problem with it. IF you are looking for a BBQ fork this works great.

At its short length, it fits in a drawer or on our bbq stand which has an elevated hook. In its extended position, it keeps your hands away from the heat. The handle is sturdy - even when it's extended, so it won't wobble or warp. The prongs are sharp, so beware. You're definitely going to puncture a piece of meat with it which may release the juices prematurely.

This is a large two prong stainless steel grilling fork. Unlike standard forks, this has a retractable handle that shortens this for storage is when you don't need the full length. That is a great feature to save space. The metal on this seems to be all formed sheet metal. The metal is on the thin side, but it didn't easily deform. This works well, is very functional. I wish the metal was a tad thicker, but this works still last many years.
