I like that it's metal with that red coloring to it. It also feels strong. It stays where you put it, too. My son ran all over the place and it did not fall down nor loosen the entire day. It goes pretty good with his belt buckle, too.

...I just wish that they were more acceptable for women to wear. I wear them occasionally anyway- they come in a zillion designs appropriate for any occasion. These bolos come in several attractive designs- I picked my favorite :) They work quite well, sliding easily but gripping well. Good value.

This skull-shaped cowboy neck tie made a wonderful gift for a friend of mine who lives in another country. I taught him how to wear it and he was over the moon about it. The quality is fine for the price. It's obviously mass produced but it's not bad and had no obvious flaws. It's a nice item to wear casually, for a disguise, or a themed cowboy / western outfit.

However, the buckle is actually made of an undisclosed zinc metallic alloy. The metallic end tips are made of the same material as the bolo buckle itself. They are in an off-brass-looking metallic tone, and an abstract pattern is inlaid on both sides of the bolo end tips.The Bolo necktie wears just fine in its rustic Cowboy simplicity. The Horse buckle, with its designed beauty, has an old Victorian Curio charm all its own. I enjoy how this elevates my normal monochromatic black look. It does slide down a bit even with the lock engaged, but stays for the most part. The ends clink together a little bit but that is also not a big deal. This is a good 4 out of 5 and well deserved. It is very adjustable and a decent value.

Nice looking bolo tie. Perhaps not heirloom quality, but looks and wears just fine. I just started wearing bolo ties with the Western style vests I wear, and this is a nice addition to my modest collection of bolo ties.I ordered the “Big Triangle Stone Bolo-blue.” The size of the piece is roughly 1.5” wide and 1.5” tall and cord is roughly 46” long. The cord is certainly long enough for me and I am taller than most. The metal looks fine. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s some zinc alloy that might have a silver colored plating. It’s not really shiny like polished stainless steel or chrome would be, although not exactly the same look as sterling silver with a natural patina would have either. Still, it looks good.I don’t know if it’s a natural stone or exactly what type it is or is supposed to look like. The one I received is certainly different looking that what’s in the Amazon listing’s pictures, so that could mean some natural stone. It has more turquoise coloring than the dark blue in the pictures. The listing also mentions turquoise, although that’s mentioned even for the bolo ties that have no stone. Regardless, it does look nice.The “high-quality leather cord” is certainly braided, although I doubt any animal contributed to the production of this leather. It has a lot of stretch to it, much more than a natural leather braided cord I have. But again, for this application and price point I’m happy with it.This is an attractive bolo tied for an attractive price. I think it looks good on me and I certainly will recommend this bolo tie.
