Good directional brightness. Descent color temperature. At 13V one bulb will draw 0.34A. In 30sec it bill be too hot for your hand. It is not dimable, and at 8V it will compensate, and keep the brightness, and draw 0.54A. So, it draws about 4.3W, pretty consistently. This is equivalent of about 35W incandescent - minus heat losses. So, not exactly 7W as stated (maybe two bulbs together?)

These are terrible. Not enough light to see anything. Save your money!

These were purchased for a plow tractor to replace the single element headlight bulbs. They are very bright and are a bit to narrow focused for this application. I will replace with a similar bulb with a wider light pattern. For backup light use these would be brighter than a normal 1156 filament style bulb but the light pattern may present the same problem. I intend to try these in different applications to see how they perform.

I bought 4 lamps to replace my halogen backup bulbs.I just needed 2, but decided to buy 4. One of the bulbs arrived broken (looks OK but it's burned). Another one bulb worked just 30 seconds and then, broken. I was lucky ordering 4 bulbs, since 2 of it are still working OK. It is a good idea to find another alternative.

I installed these as reverse lights in an old Toyota truck and they are MUCH, MUCH brighter than any ordinary 1156 bulb. They project the light straight out...they're like mini bright flashlights. The light is a bit more of a focused beam and lights up objects behind the vehicle pretty well.Arrived quickly. I highly recommend these over ordinary 1156 bulbs.UPDATE...After very limited usage one bulb already burned out. These have less than maybe 2 hours of total life on them. Quite disappointing.

The order was processed and arrived promptly in good shape. The product was well-packaged.The 1156 base fit is nice and snugSurprisingly heavy! The Fresnel lens does a super job focusing the light into a tightly controlled circle.Kelvin color temperature is a tiny bit on the blue side. As a guess I would say 6,000KMy test instruments agree that this is a true 7 watt emitter at 12.00 VDCAfter experiencing the light output and quality of the device I will not consider buying another brand. These are worth every cent!

These bulbs were purchased to replace the standard 27W 1156 bulb used in my reverse lights. This bulb is WAY brighter! The white color is also much crisper and contrasts better against dark objects. Since it utilizes domed lenses, the 2 bulbs output light like a pair of high power LED flashlights strapped to your bumper. Finally, the length & diameter are no larger than a standard 1156 bulb so you won't have any issues making them fit into the housings. If you haven't tried these yet, discard your old incandescent bulbs and step into 21st century technology. You won't be disappointed!
