When using, I 'sample' the reading several times. The first reading/use is not always particularly accurate (simply the nature of the device/usage). The spring(s) are too long, and have a tendency to poke one unpleasantly. I plan to use my Dremel (sp?) tool (w/abrasive cutoff wheel) to cut them appropriately shorter. Simple, effective, and easy to use. Recommended.
