Wanted to try out the K&M stool for guitar playing before seeing if I wanted to get this back attachment. I didn't wait long-- not because the stool isn't pretty much perfect (it is). But because having a back on the stool is a very nice option for longer sessions. The K&M stool was a keeper after a few playing sessions, and getting the K&M back for it made the stool that much more useful. Very glad that I didn't wait long to add this.

This back rest is of the same great quality and is the perfect addition to our K&M 14093 Square Piano Stool with Pneumatic Lift. The support bar that connects the back rest to the seat bracket is very heavy duty, yet has ample built in flex, making it easy to lean into. Like the 14093 seat, it is extremely durable in its construction. We have been using the 14093 seat for Keyboard Practice, teardown, loading, setup, Performance, teardown, loading, repeat… for about two years now, and except for a few scratches we’ve put on the metal base, the cushion and hardware show no signs of wear at all!! PS: The box also included the two steel washers & tightening knobs for both the back rest cushion and seat rest attachments. No additional parts needed. NO COMPLAINTS and our compliments to K&M for their excellent quality products.

I have had a K&M stool for about five years and recently purchased the back. I am a professional upright bass player and use the stool about 4 days per week for 2 - 4 hours at a time. The stool has been impecable so I decided to add the back for more support for my back. So far the back has worked perfectly for me. It is fully adjustable both vertically and horizontally. I cannot think of anything that would improve it.
