I bought this to make gluten free ravioli and empanadas due to food allergies. I used it for ravioli, and can say it seals the edges very well. I’m glad I bought this even after some of the negative reviews. Let me say I don’t understand why there were so many complaints about cleaning this tool. It’s pretty straight forward. You move the hook off the peg and each wheel comes off so you can get in between each one. Then put them back on the peg and relook the hook. If you make homemade pastas this is a great tool and you won’t be disappointed!

The metal quality is very good. It comes apart to clean inside. Seals and cuts my German ravioli called Maultaschen like a professional. My mother always used a fork to seal the edges. This is far faster and superior in every way.

I got this for my first time making ravioli, and I was more than pleased. The edges were very clean and pretty, and perfectly sealed. As someone else mentioned, though, for those kvetching about dough getting stuck in the roller, your dough NEEDS to be properly chilled (at least 45 minutes assuming your fridge is set properly), and you need to work QUICKLY, leaving any dough you're not using right that moment in the fridge until you're ready to use it. For me, as the dough inevitably warmed, there was some minor issue with the dough pulling up with the roller, but this is easily countered by using your finger to keep the dough put behind the roller while you continue your line. There were no issues with the dough actually breaking off and getting stuck inside the mechanism, for me. If you have any experience working with dough of any sort, this should be common-sense; if ravioli is your jumping-off point into culinary adventures, for some reason, now you know. Always use chilled dough unless there's an express reason not to.Cleaning is easy enough. Slide the locking mechanism to one side and off the post, disassemble the blade and sealing wheels, hand wash with warm, sudsy water, then reassemble. Getting the post all the way through when I was putting it back together was a little fussy, but nothing terribly difficult or frustrating.I can't say it was especially ergonomic as it's described; it felt like any other long, stick-like object, and my hand cramped pretty quickly. I don't know what makes it ergonomic outside its width, but a wider, longer handle might have been better for me. I do have arthritis, though, which certainly played a part. If you don't have any carpal issues, it probably wouldn't be a problem.Overall it does what it says and is a quality tool. Definitely recommend!

I like and don’t like it. I like when it worked well but I don’t like how the dough get stuck in it so that makes it very time consuming.. it is easy to take apart and wash. But I have a very cheap cutter that works just as well.. will probably try different style next time.. it works just not what I was expecting or what I like for my raviolis.

Ottimo prodotto; tenere la sfoglia soda non troppo appiccicosa altrimenti te la trovi spesso attaccata alla rotella; per la pulizia mia moglie usa uno spazzolino da cucina.

Really easy to use. Just get a pasta sheet, add little scoops of the filling separated by an inch or so, cover with another pasta sheet and run this tool in between the filling. It will seal and cut your ravioli, all at once.It comes apart so it’s very easy to clean. It makes making ravioli a very easy and even fun job.

Great quality. Heavier than I expected, but that's a good thing. Cuts well and uniformly. Only complaint is dough gets caught between 2 rollers frequently requiring you to disassemble it to clean it out in order to continue cutting. Minor inconvenience if you want uniform pasta pieces.

I am pleased after using it. It simply does the job of cutting up the ravioli. It even gives the edges a nice crimp. I noticed that you need to give it firm pressure, as the cutting disc is not a blade but a blunt disc. But it all works. You do need to roll the pasta sheets quite thin (number 8 or number 9 on a roller machine). After finishing, you can throw it in the dishwasher. You can even dismantle it (if needed) fully to clean bits of dough form the insides of the roller before either hand washing or using dishwasher. This is an excellent feature. Excellent product worth the higher price if you make ravioli often. I am happy to recommend this ravioli cutter.
