I have a pair of Kai fabric scissor which are just amazing so needless to say I was excited to add another Kai product to my sewing tool box. The eroonomics really nice but the blades don't seem to be aligned properly. When I try to snip the threads they just slip between the blades. To get them to cut I have put downward pressure on the top blade at angle in order for the blades to meet and cut the thread. Maybe the one I got was just misaligned. I probably should have returned it but it's too late now.KAI - if you see this and would like to replace with a pair that work, I'd love to give you a better review!

I love my Kai snippers. I have a couple of pairs of similar but I wanted to try these as I have a Kai rotary cutter which is fabulous... These are too.They have a substantial, robust feel to them with a nice chunky grip and they snip the threads beautifully.I like the fact too that they have a blade cover on which holds the blades together and is protective also.Compared to other brands I have, the price of these is fine.I actually enjoy using them with the grip handle. Simple to use and they look good too.

I needed one of these snips for my sewing room. They are great, nice size and easy to use. They do not hurt your fingers or hand.

The KAI snips work perfectly. I don't know what the longevity will be but right now they are sharp and snip to the very tip of the blade. It is exactly what I expect from a good pair of scissors. So far, I love them.

I like the rubber grip on the scissors. Comfortable to use and very sharp. Work well for snipping threads! Very sturdy construction.

I thought I had already reviewed this, so I was surprised to see it again.I have several pairs of KAI scissors, and have always been pleased with their quality, sharpness, and ease of use. When I saw these snips, I thought "great", and expected the same quality as the scissors, but I was definitely disappointed. They don't snip easily, they chop the thread and the fabric. After using them for just one day, I decided that I would not use them again. I ended up giving them to someone else. She didn't like the either, and gave them to goodwill. I'll just stick with my Kai scissors.

I have several Kai scissors, and love all of them. Was super excited to see they make a snips. I love that after I use the snips, I don't have to pay attention to the way I set the snips back down on my sewing table (not like the Fiskar that has a finger hole on one side). The handle is also nice and grippy.In other reviews, I read that folks had trouble cutting on the first try. This is not an issue for me, as I tend to put thumb pressure on the snips anyway. Also the cover is kind of tricky to put on. I don't use it. When the grands come to visit I put all my scissors on the top shelf in my craft closet.

I have used these for a few weeks now and I don’t like them. They seem to be sharp but probably 2 out of 3 times I use them, they do not cut the thread first go. I have problems with my hands so I need the scissors (snips) to cut the thread first go. Also the way these Kai scissors are designed the blades easily separate depending on how they are held, and again they then don’t cut the threads. I intend giving mine away and buying one from Gingher. I wanted to try the Kai brand as I had heard good things, but now I think I will stick to Gingher.

These are really good snips - comfortable in use, durable and sharp. Much better than any cheap snips I used to buy in the past. They are definitely worth the money they cost... but if you are willing to spend some more, then Fiskars snips are even better and they are my all time favourite.
