The pickguard fit my guitar just fine. I put it on a brand new guitar. However, it only took a day to get a very noticeable scratch on it. I've had other guitars for years and I don't see any visible scratches on any of their pickguards.

I like that it fits tightly around the pickups, but it doesn't take anything at all to scratch, or dull the finish on this plastic pickguard.
