I've had this product for 2 years now. Great for making Mojitos and grinding herbs and spices. Has held up well over the last two years.

It's a lovely small mortar and pestle. It has the same weaknesses as others in its category, with thin pestles relative to the mortar - spices can fly out as you pound them. The mortar broke when it fell on my wooden floor. It's silly that something made of stone can be so flimsy.

I use this to grind spices for making chai and it works very well. I would say the inside is a bit lighter grey than in the picture but everything else is true to description. I have used it pretty frequently for about a year and it's been a great product.

This is a great mortar and pestle. It’s a good weight and size. You can grind up pills easily. I also use it for herbs and even ground up coarse salt so it would fit in my salt shaker. I find it very useful and easy to clean. It was a great purchase.

This black mortal and pestle set is very cute. Fits in the palm of my hand. It has a good weight to it and feels nice to use. My only gripe is that the black coating comes off on my hands when I use it. No idea if it’s toxic or not 😅. I was debating on sending it back, but I love the black color so much. It should be noted that the black coating only covers the handle portion of the pestle and the outside and rim of the mortar. The inside of the mortar and the bulb end of the pestle are untreated stone. I have had it long at the time I’m writing this, but so far, so good.

I have had a few mortar & pestle's over the years. I have a big one, but wanted a smaller one for different things that I grind up. This is a very nice one, heavy and sturdy mortar and big pestle, typically bigger than most pestles, which I flat out love. If you're looking for a good mortar & pestle, this is it!!

I was so thrilled to get my first mortar and pestle. I am a wildcrafter and an artist. I make my own teas and salves. I also just started making my own earth pigments. I would call this Kaizen Casa Stone set a beginner's set. It is simple and just the right size for small projects, like mine. It washes up really well. I like the feel of it in my hands, though it is not as sturdy with heavier grinds as a more solid, more expensive set. When I first got this I also make gaucamole in it. It does the trick for just what I need.
