For as many of these as I looked at, this has been very durable as a cover. Bungee system works well and has withstood a harsh season. I would recommend.

My son and I strung this up over our pergola this afternoon. We used collapsible tarp poles with the tips secured in each corner of a short end. We used them to lift that end and pull the whole shade from one end to the other. Once in place, bungee loops were used to secure each and every grommet to the pergola. The install was simple and secure. The shade provided was exceptional. With the pergola already being a cedar color, the darker mocha of the shade paired well.The shade did come with a set of bungees as well as a set of reusable zip ties, and a small bundle of thin rope. There wasn't enough of the bungees for each grommet, though there may have been enough zip ties. The kit included a package of 30. I can't recall how many grommets were on the whole perimeter, but there are 7 on the short ends, and I think there were only 14 bungees. A combination of the two types would certainly be adequate.I had already ordered a 50 pack of bungees, so I ended up using those and keeping the ones that came with the kit. I may use them for setting up a tarp when camping.

We’ve had this setup/installed for several weeks now and noticed the reinforced banding (for the grommets) needs to be strengthened - seeing grommets pulling through/separating from the material. Assuming we’ll be modifying sooner than later.
