My wife has been asking for a karaoke machine for quite a while, and I resisted for a long time because they were either 1) very expensive, 2) way too cheap, or 3) required special content made for karaoke machines. This one looked like a powerhouse for not too much money, and with the Bluetooth connection I could use whatever music I wanted. Also, it came with two microphones for duets. I was impressed by the sound, and the max volume was more than enough for my needs. The microphone audio sounds pretty good, too. There are also vocal effects you can apply to the vocals (primarily reverb.) What I didn't like is that a deep reverb setting seems to be the default any time you turn the machine on, whereas I'd like a more moderate effect (or at least remember what my last setting was). Also, adjusting the various volumes and effects is very cryptic and not intuitive. The instruction manual doesn't explain what the different modes are (indicated by a single letter for each, I forget what they are.) But I liked the sound a lot, the microphones were great, and it also doubles as a nice loud Bluetooth speaker.

[PROS] This is a great option. This is my first karaoke system like this, and it's been an awesome experience so far. Some of the best features of this system are the multiple options/buttons available on top of the unit, and the weight.First off, I really like how portable and light this unit is. An older child can safely pick this up without problems. I haven’t weighed it, but it is light. This is an important feature because I constantly play sports every week, and the idea of having to lug around something that is too heavy would be a negative. Other than karaoke, I use this to play music while I play sports.Secondly, the buttons. There are a variety of ways to control your music remotely via bluetooth. You can control music volume, control microphone volume, even microphone echo effect. You can turn on and off the LED(s), and the power switch is a rocker toggle. Some of the other features are inputs for wired mics, AUX, USB, flash card, and the DC charger. I only use bluetooth at this point.Third, the sound. Given that this is light-weight, and battery powered, there is a compromise. The bass is okay. The sound projects just like a regular PA speaker. A big woofer would take up too much energy. The sound is clear, and not harsh. When this is played in the gym, the room acoustics help round out the bottom end. Outside in the open air, the bass is on par with many other portable systems. The output is fine enough; it is not screamingly loud however.[CONS] I would like to see an option to send the signal out. E.g. if I happen to bring this machine to a place with a full system (such as a larger PA system or home entertainment center). This machine would then just act as the microphone and instrumental source receiver. Not necessarily a point off.Another thing that would be cool, would be the option to store the microphones straight into the unit. E.g. if there was space on the back with a cover.[SUMMARY] For the price, this is a great option. The microphones pair easily, bluetooth devices pair easily, and overall my experience has been pretty smooth without problems. I’ve used it to do karaoke at a friend's place, and play music during sports outings. It's been great. The battery lasts a long time. I plan to buy more mics so I can run 4 total simultaneously. It even comes with an AUX cable, and remote.
