Shungite is a unique Precambrian carbonaceous natural mineral of organic origin that can be found in its raw form only in the Republic of Karelia, where the only deposit of this amazing mineral is located.
Nowadays shungite can be referred to as a magical stone, a stone of life, or a healing mineral due to its multiple healing, curative and protective properties that go back far more than several generations. Some experts claim that the mineral is approximately 2 billion years old and it starts its existence long before life existed on Earth.

How to distinguish real shungite goods from the fake?
Shungite goods may get your skin and clothes dirty
due to the carbon structure of the stone and the dust left after production. Wash shungite items under tap water before the first use and later on from time to time.
Raw shungite has a deep grey color, not black
in polished shungite goods, if you use it for a long time, the upper layer may come off. There is a natural grey raw stone under polishing, not painted plastic.
Shungite goods have inclusions and streaks on their surface
these are not cracks or scratches, but the natural stone's structure with inclusions of pyrite and quartz. Products made of perfectly glossy or matte material are definitely not made from shungite.
Authentic shungite is highly electro conductive

I ordered 3 cubes all are a little bit different in size because of the size of the rough stone. They are the perfect size for me at around 2 inches each. I intended to give one away for Christmas but I like it too much, so I’m keeping all three.They arrived on schedule and where packaged with care so they wouldn’t get damaged, I would order from Karelian again.
