We installed them with bungee stretched tight, perhaps stetched only 1 inch. After 1 use and sitting overnight, the bungee was loose and stretched out. Otherwise works and holds paddle fine.

A friend purchased this and suggested it for me. Pretty easy to install. Just make sure you know exactly how far apart to drill the holes in the kayak. I wish the directions had made that clear.It holds the paddle well, and I like that I have another spot on my kayak to tether items to.

Paddle bungees worked great! And you can't beat the price. They were very easy to install and have held up well considering I'm rough on my kayak. NOTE- you'll have to use well nuts or expansion nuts (same thing just called different) if you can't access the screw to put the nut on.

These work great as described. I had to purchase an additional one because we have two kayaks and I lost one of the little plastic clips that slides over the bungee and holds it in place. Under normal use the plastic clip will back off slightly every now and then, and you have to just slide it back up into place or it will eventually fall off and you could possibly loose it in the water. Hasn't been a problem since it realized this and just started paying attention, as it only happens maybe every several outings.

This item arrived timely and well packaged. It was a little longer than what I needed, but I could cut it easily, melt the end and put in in the correct place on my kayak. I used the 2nd strap on a friends kayak and it was the correct length for her and did not have to be adjusted. It arrived with all the hardware needed for installation.

Simplest way to secure paddle on side of kayak. No big ugly plastic or rubber U clips to get in the way or fight to get paddle in and out of. Place hook on deck between cockpit rim and side where you will not hit it when paddling. Sit in boat and place paddle wher you want it to rest before drilling any holes. Bungee should have some tension on it when not being used so it stays snug to the boat. Add a small webbing loop or similar to bungee before attaching to make a grab tab. This will make attaching/detaching paddle even easier one handed.

Ordered two sets of these as I had a few kayaks in the garage that I was looking to upgrade. These guys fit the bill and installed very easily and appear to be of sturdy construction...I have no doubts that they will still be in service for years to come!Also, it should be noted that three of the four boats that I installed these on were sit-on-tops, so using the included screws was not an option. I opted to use instead, and they worked out very well, but did not include any O-Rings or seals, so I had to improvise a little with some spare gasket material that I had laying around the house.
