Very easy to use the hook/pulley system. The tie down loops worked great for hood and trunk placement.

Absolutely a great product, except the open hook design is the safety & design flaw on the bow/ stern tie downs. I've used my Dremel to remove the hooks and replaced with 150lb work load carabiners to SAFELY tie my kayak to my vehicle. Safety first!!!!

While a little on the expensive side, these ratchet tie downs are extremely easy and fast to use. Once the hooks are attached to the load, a quick pull up and the load is secure. Releasing the tension is a one finger job and the entire tie down is ready to store away. I bought two sets for our canoe and kayak and would buy them again due to the ease of operation.

We purchased these tie downs for our boat rack. They help make the boats ride more sturdy. I’ve been using them for a few days now and we have driven on the interstate and in town. The boat rack worked well by itself, but with the straps, I have more peace of mind.

I am planning on buying more. These are super easy to use and very sturdy. They do not budge in transit, even on the highway.

These are my first bow/stern kayak tie down straps and I feel safer driving with them in place. They work well and I'm trying to determine my preferences around how to best use them. They come with generous amount of rope where I have been tying the excess to keep it from flapping in the wind and am considering cutting this shorter. Also decided to buy a strap to wrap around each of the bow/stern of the kayak to hook the tie down to as the deck line or carrying handle on the kayak do not seem secure enough. I would recommend this product.

Once upon a time, bow and stern lines for our kayaks transported with J-hooks on the roof of the car required laying on the ground and reaching under the car to find a spot on the frame to attach a hook to... then twisting the strap to reduce wind noise and trying not to gum up the ratcheting mechanism because of the twisted strap. No more! These amazing little tie-down sets are super quick to install and remove, gentle on the car's finish, versatile for many types of vehicles (including hatchbacks) and make it easy to get a nice, secure angle for the straps. They're even quicker to tighten and release than ratcheting straps (though I'm not trying to knock ratcheting straps - they have their place and are light years better than using rope). They're thin and light but plenty strong. I was nervous at first with how thin and light they are, but they've proven strong and reliable on multiple 100-mile+ highway drives with multiple kayaks (one set of tie-downs for each kayak), including one kayak that's particularly bulky and over 80 pounds (don't get me started about what that does to my gas mileage!). I wish I'd known about this style of tie-down years ago and am so appreciative to the random stranger that told us about them one day in a parking lot!

Great product for tying down kayaks. I also use them for long pieces of lumber that tend to bounce while driving. Very easy to use and gives you piece of mind on long travels. Awesome product

Quick and easy to install. Sturdy and holds well even through a long windy drive. The cords come long so you can then adjust to the length you will need for your particular vehicle and use. Liked it so much I bought a second set as a birthday gift for a friend.

We had to return our kayak tie down straps because we bought a new car and it didn't have anchor points for our canoe. We sold the canoe and then we asked for a refund on our kayak tie down straps. The company was wonderful to deal with. They issued a refund without a problem. The product we received also looked very good and, had we kept our canoe, I am positive that the straps would have been an excellent way to tie down our canoe.
