I was pretty excited to get this - until it came in. It's obviously beginners and that's fine, because you don't expect the same quality (like made from plastic, etc). but it was falling apart, one of the yarn or whatever the ball was held up with became completely unthreaded, and I honestly ended up throwing it out.

Bought two sets and one broke right away. You have to be very careful not to pull on the yarn too hard because they will come out easily. Kids loved them though for hula class!

Poi Balls are used in dance in many Polynesian cultures. I needed them for my traditional Hawaiian dance class. I did have to keep them away from my cat because he thought they were toys for him. I may replace the plastic wrap with cloth to protect them.

My daughter used these for a talent show and they worked great! She learned about the Poi balls on a recent trip to Hawaii and she loves them! They are a lot of fun and made well.

I ordered these for my daughter's Easter basket. Her friend has the same one's and my daughter loves to play with them. They appear to be good quality and should hold up to an 11 year old's use.

After a trip to the Polynesian Cultural Center on Oahu, I fell in love with poi balls. The pair I purchased in Waikiki broke, so I bought this pair of poi balls. They look the same, but are a bit harder and seem to be more durable. It is great exercise and it is easy to find video instruction online. I recommend this product!
