It didn't come with any type of cleaning agent for after the abrasive is done. I installed it on a 65°f day after letting it dit in the sun most of the day. The adhesive is absolutely great but it does need some heat put on it. I recommend removing the full center strip and installing it then use a heat gun and do one side at a time. Being sure the guard is straight heat up small sections at a time and press them on. It seems to be holding well, I'm excited to see the long term durability.

Product ripped in half. Plus I don't think it's 3m adhesive... It didn't say 3m on the adhesive backing

I ordered a 6ft one and it came as 5ft 10inches. That's a huge bummer especially that you should place it 6-8inches above the water line. The keel saver came with a very flimsy squeege, one latex glove, and a decent scuff pad. It did not come with any alcohol wipes to prep surface or primer. For the money, I'd just buy another kit somewhere else and spend and extra 30 bucks to get everything you need to install it. I'd say 3 stars is fair in my opinion.

Installed on my boat after using the brillo pad that came with it and cleaning area with acetone. Went out next day and was already peeling off the the boat. Had separation between the keel guard and the adhesive strip on it.

The quality of the rubber seems to be pretty good, but the two ply tape on there will not hold. I have put three different kill guards on boats and never had a problem. The tape on this type of kill guard will not hold on a fiberglass boat
