In the pictures in this posting the boats are much lower than ours. Out bimini top is pretty tall, we can stand under it. It does work for the taller top too,. There is going to be a gap between the bottom of the shade and the boat side. Depending on how low the sun is, it will still shine on you. It pulled a bit tight so we are going to extend the strap a little (get extra piece of zelcro). We also move one to the front of our boat when the fun was not on the side but straight ahead. You can definitely still see through it easily. The sun still shines, but it is not so blinding. It also does cut down the heat of the sun. Sun still shines through so there is stills some heat. But these are very nice for super hot days when the sun is getting lower in the sky and the top doesn't provide enough shade.

Picked this up to provide some sun shelter for the outings where I fish into midday. It's relatively universal just as the listing claims. I installed it to my 1" bimini tubes and adjusted the tension based on how much slack I wanted. I like that this allows air movement, so you get shade and some cool air blowing.The pockets are a really nice touch to help improve storage. I feel that it's only for lighter objects, otherwise it protrudes from my mounting spot and gets in the way. These sidewalls are nice.

These panels are awesome. They reduce the amount of sun and heat to which one is exposed. They can be moved to different locations around the boat to block the sun from whichever direction it may be coming. The advantage of these over some others is that one can see through these to navigate with them in place; I've had others that I had to remove while under way. Installation is simple, and the item comes with all the hardware to install it.

Fit my tritoon great. I actually did not mount anything for the front straps and just tie them off because I did not want to put any new holes in my framework. It definitely adds some nice sun protection for when the sun is lower on the horizon. No issues with sewing, hardware, or anything else. I like it!!

We recently acquired a slightly used boat but the Bimini top does not provide the coverage that we had on our previous boat. So I ordered these to add more coverage from the sun.Generally we go out in the evening for a ‘cocktail’ cruise because it is a more peaceful time on the water when many boaters have gone in for the day. However, the sun is no longer above you but coming in through the sides.I got these toward the end of the season and have only used them twice but they work as advertised. We did not put the permanent anchors in the boat yet but have easily tethered them to the Bimini poles to provide the coverage on the sides.My wife is particularly sensitive to the sun and heat so these help to diffuse the intensity that is quite often the warmest time of the day. We usually anchor somewhere on the lake that gives us a view that we like and these sidewalls definitely make it more comfortable.Next season we may permanently install them but until then we are able to enjoy for comfort that they bring to boating at certain times of day. I like this as a solution to providing additional coverage at a more reasonable price rather than purchasing a new larger Bimini or adding to the existing one. I recommend these a one solution to getting more coverage from the sun while on your boat.

I really like what this product is supposed to do and it would really be appreciated by my wife in the summer. But we tried hard to get it to fit our boat's top and it just won't fit without significant modifications. We do have a 3 bow top and it is reasonably tall. But this shade kit was not wide enough to be attached higher up. The top straps would not reach the width of the front and rear bows near the top. It would only reach sitting lower where the bows are closer together which then leaves a large gap between the top and the side shade. Despite the wide top, the lower straps were too long to be adjusted to fit the tie down points of the top.
