I bought these to replace (4) 5.25" speakers on my boat because someone noted they were a little small for a 6.5" rating. That is true; even though it says the installation hole is 5.125" it is actually 4.9 and was able to squeeze into the existing holes. They look good and sound fine.

Incredibly awesome speakers, and very clear! Installed them under the gunwale of my 24 foot Seaswirl Striper. Still very clear when relaxing on a tube or standing at the sand bar.

I needed to replace the cheap stock speakers in my RV and these fit perfectly. I was even able to use the existing holes (both the cut-out and the screw holes). They sound great compared to what I had. I am sure you can spend more to get a purer sound but these are great for the price. I cranked them up and got a vibrating sound but it was just my flatware in the drawer. :) Great option for most RV owners.

I installed two pairs of these on a 20-ft runabout that I use on a freshwaterlake. I'm driving the speakers with a new Kenwood stereo/CD player. Thespeakers replaced non-marine speakers the original boat owner had installed.The original complete stereo system didn't have much volume, and those speakers'cones had disintegrated over time.These Kenwood speakers are very sturdy, and being marine grade, I sensethey will be more durable than the speakers they replace, in fact, I believethey will be the last speakers I ever install on this boat.Installation was very easy. The screw holes lined up exactly with the oldones, and I was able to use the exact same wiring as the old ones. I'llupgrade the speaker wiring at some future date.I am particularly pleased with the speaker volume. I can hear themperfectly, no distortion, even when I'm running on open water at 35 mph.
