As a DIYer, the ONLY reason I ever got a MAP torch at all is because my car required insane amount of heat to remove the tie rod bolts. No other method, torque, or force/tool would budge it and a mechanic told me most shops use those high end cylinders and heat the heck out of the bolt to release. The small $50 yellow bottle kit is sufficient enough for a basic DIY job but the next issue was, how much heat is needed. For my project, the bolt needs to be heated for 10 minutes before any leverage can be applied (Yes, 10 minutes because the tie rod was never removed on a 19 year old gen 2 prius. After the nut goes white in color, its ready to come off like butter on hot toast. Now, the final issue. Holding the dang bottle for 10 whole minutes (600 seconds) is actually a long time. I tried to use bricks and random objects around the garage to sit the angle I would like but nothing felt safe that worked.... Until a quick amazon search and here we are. This solved my issue. It goes over the threaded hole, the trigger is put on top, and now my angle can be set, the automatic trigger can be locked on, and I can set my timer for 10 minutes and walk away knowing the exact heat is set once done. Simple but works. Still used a brick to get the angle I wanted but a brick was only for height leverage. Thanks. Worth the $25 bucks as some people were complaining about. If the price bothers you that much, make your own and move on. Time is money and this solved it for a reasonable cost.

The stand was well worth the money. Now I can pour my silver and not have to worry about propping up the torch and risking a fire.

Sturdy build. It didn't work for my application, but I thought it deserved a favorable review. God concept for general purpose use.

We teach art glass. For some of our techniques, we melt glass and pull it into shapes. If you're holding a glass rod in one hand and a pair of pliers in the other, you don't want your torch to be unstable, standing on its 3" base. We're so pleased with these that we purchased several and we recommend them to customers.

It holds the torch off the floor with.perfect simplicity. Attaches easily and keeps the hot tip off the floor.

It does the job, but for $24 I was expecting two of these considering they are quite literally some metal with a couple holes in it. Feels like the price is way too steep for something so incredibly crude. Won't give less than 4 stars due to the fact that I should've more carefully read the description, and of course it does work- its a hunk of metal, shaped in a very basic design. I can't imagine the profit margin they're working with, considering a factory could pump these out all day for a penny on the dollar. - Yes it works and should last, but realize what you just spent $25 on.
