I ordered this, so I could see to put the key in my front door lock at night when my porch light is off.This item works exactly as described. When my hand approaches the doorknob, it turns on and stays on. Five seconds after I go inside the door, it turns off. (See light off and on pics.) This is exactly what I wanted. It's not a porch light, it's a keyhole light. That said, I can see how this would be useful in other areas, such as closets or cabinets.The light comes with instructions and a sticker to install it on your door or other surface. This sticker goes on a plate that slides onto and off of the back of light. This allows the light to be removed easily for changing the battery, which is not included.Don't listen to the naysayers. This is a great light. It works just as advertised, and I'm very happy with this item. I would recommend this to anyone who comes home after dark and doesn't have a timer or sensor on their porch light. My rating: FIVE STARS.
