Good replacement for broken remote case. Make sure you use battery CR 2025 instead of recommended CR 2032. It's thinner and will make it easier to assemble case.

Fits my car like it is supposed to, however it is very difficult to get closed once you put the microchip and battery in it. The part that goes on the Keychain also breaks easily, but that is every single one of these, not just this brand.

We just bought a used Explorer and it only came with one broken key fob. This was a perfect replacement. We just took the innards out of the original and transferred into this case, and then we took the key that came with it to get it cut and it works perfectly.

I had a keyfob for my 2017 Explorer that was damaged, but the electronics still worked.All I had to do was transfer all the electronics over to this empty shell and was able to get a functioning keyfob again, super cheap. These fobs are very expensive, but these empty shells are the best solution if your keyfob problem is not related to the electronics. Super easy to do, took me about 5 minutes to move my key over and now it’s better than it has been since I’ve owned the vehicle.

None of these parts interchange with my present unit. Close, but no cigar. Without batteries or electronics board, it could not be assembled as middle board will not hook over the nibs on the keytainer.Not true sized to the original.

This was exactly what I needed: a replacement shell for the internal parts of my key fob for a 2016 Ford explore. The electrical components on my key fob worked fine, but the original shell was broken. It is very easy to swap out the internal electrical parts. However, my experience with similar to with many other reviews stated, which is that the back of the key fob cover that came with the replacement, did not fit the front replacement. However, the original back of my Ford key fob fit perfectly. I don’t know why that’s the case and I think it is strange.So, as long as the back of your key fob is in good shape, this will work fine.
