I read online that this could be used on my 74 Camaro. Sure enough, with a small adaptation on top end connection it works perfectly. Great upgrade and fits perfectly on steering box.

This shaft worked amazing!!! Easy installation fits all 88-98 obs Silverado, sierra, Tahoe, suburban. Fixed all the play in the steering. Better than the 4713943 model. No modifications needed!!

This steering shaft is adjustable and moves in and out freely so no need to heat up the steering shaft. Also, with the 87 GMC, there is no need to notch the existing steering shaft so pretty much a simple install.
