I own the amazing DJI Osmo Action 5, and have been having a lot of fun shooting some B-Roll footage with it. I haven't yet experimented much with accessories, and wanted to try these ND filters from K&F. I have good experience with K&F in general, so I had high hopes from the get go.First off, the snap-on design is incredibly convenient. Attaching and detaching the filters is quick and easy. The filters fit snugly on the Osmo Action 5 lens, and I haven't experienced any issues with them coming loose. The quality of the filters themselves is impressive. The glass is clear and seems well-made. I haven't noticed any unwanted color casts or distortions in my footage. The CPL filter is particularly useful when shooting around water or reflective surfaces, making the colors more vibrant and the sky a deeper blue.If you're new to ND filters, they're basically essential for controlling exposure in bright conditions. The different densities of each filte allows fine-tuning camera settings and achieve the desired cinematic look. The ND8 and ND16 are perfect for slightly overcast days or when I need to reduce shutter speed for smoother motion. The ND32 and ND64 are great for bright sunlight, allowing me to shoot at wider apertures and create a shallow depth of field. The ND1000 is fantastic for extremely bright conditions or for creating long exposures, adding a unique creative element to my videos. However, it comes at the cost. The most obvious downside is that it blocks a significant amount of light. This makes it very difficult to see through the LCD screen, making composition challenging. It also absolutely need a sturdy tripod to avoid camera shake. Even the slightest movement can result in blurry images. It's not a filter you'd keep on your lens all the time. This is true to all ND1000 filters and not just this one. However, I noticed that this particular ND1000 filter introduced a slight color cast to my images. That is expected at this budget price point. High quality ND1000 filters cost $$$.Overall, I appreciate the versatility of this pack. Having six different filters at my disposal means I'm prepared for virtually any shooting scenario and the included case is very thoughful. It keeps the filters organized and protected when I'm not using them.

This is a set of 4 x Neutral Density optical glass filters for the DJI OSMO series of action cameras. They are packed in a sturdy and impact resistant mattress plastic case with individual cut outs for each filter. The filters all look the same in their case so once you have determined which is which I would endeavour to be disciplined about putting them back in the same hole to save time later. They are all labelled on the outside rim, but you cannot see that from the front. To install the filter you simply push it on over the original clear OSMO lens cover. It feels a bit weird the first time but once yo get the hang of it it is very quick.Optically these seem to be great, I didn't notice any additional flaring and they resist greasy finger marks. I have posted a pair of photos to show a possible use. Both images are the same scene except the darker one is the ND64 or -5 stops filter. As you can see it effectively acted as an iris shutting down the exposure to leave a moody scene. So these can be used indoors and outdoors to control what the camera sees. A very useful and creative tool to have.

I have a lot of K&F filters, and really like their stuff. But I'm starting to see a pattern that bugs me a bit. The filters themselves work exactly as they should. For those that might not know what ND filters do, they are like "sunglasses" for your camera, and allow you to film at a slower shutter speed, to get motion blur. Particularly useful on a really sunny day or if filming in snow with a lot of light reflectivity.Worth noting is that you'll need to remove the "rubber-band" like ring that's around the Action 5 lens before you can slip the filter onto it.They are also well packaged. Too well, in fact, as that's becoming my only complaint about this company. Though their packaging makes their lens covers well protected, it makes it a bit of a problem to travel with them. Take for example the picture I included here, of the filter case, and my DJI Action 5 case. The filter case is larger than the camera case, by a wide margin.I'd like to see K&F work on finding a way to make their packaging more streamlined, while still providing a similar level of protection to the glass inside of it.
