Just painted this grill and installed it. It for perfect in the holes. I didn't care for the color it came in.. not cute but some high quality satin spray paint to match the threading and logo can make this sick! Finding the screws weren't too much of a hassle at Lowe's. Gonna see how this sounds with any distortion but so far, it seems to be of quality and no change in sound. Maybe a little more thump but I might be crazy :P Overall, my sub is protected!For anyone who wants to buy the screws and protect your sub, the screw size is M4 0.70; I called Kicker and verified. You'll need metric ones about 1/4" longer for the six on the top and sides. I used M4-.70x35. The ones on the bottom were pretty much wood screws. I used a 1-1/4 inch flat Phillips screw which is the same length and thread pitch as the ones installed but they will flush better than the ones that's you take out. And why not paint them black so you have some accents lolI left pics for you music junkies :) good luck!

These are perfect for what they are made for, the other chrome ones are nice looking but plastic and these are actual metal and you don’t need to modify the speaker to fit it just goes on where the holes are for the speaker to mount to box

The speaker is held in with metric allen screws. To use the protective grill, you have to have longer screws. Kicker knows that - so, why didn't they include longer screws with the grill? Otherwise, it's tops.

This could be mistaken for hard plastic bit its lightweight metal. It seems sturdy enough to take some abuse in a trunk or under/behind a seat. The texture is rough but has a nice appearance. You may have to use longer screws. It gets a 9/10 only because of the rough finish.

Great look n harder then they looked. Thought it might have been flimsy or break easy but I have put my weight on one and it held strong. "150lbs" clean looking and dependable for the price. Cant beat it.
