Your cart is empty.The Kidde Smoke Detector, 10-Year Battery with LED Indicators & Replacement Alerts, model i9010, is a basic smoke detector that uses ionization sensor technology to detect invisible fire particles (associated with flaming fires) sooner than photoelectric alarms. When smoke or fire is detected, an 85-decibel alarm will sound. The Kidde Smoke Detector is powered by a 10-year lithium battery that requires no wiring, never needs replacing, plus coverage during a power failure. A solid green LED indicates that the alarm is receiving power and a red LED indicates that the smoke detector is sensing smoke or fire. A test-hush button allows you to test the battery operations as well as silence nuisance alarms that may occur from cooking or shower steam. The Kidde Smoke Detector will chirp when it's time to replace the battery. Install a smoke detector & carbon monoxide detector on every level of your home and near bedrooms to help keep your family safe from fire & poisonous gas. I am replacing the original model after 14 years. Same bracket, just swapped it out in 2 seconds. Great value for two alarms. Will order again.

I'm 75 years old and replacing batteries in smoke detectors every year is really dangerous. I don't belong on a ladder anymore. And there is nothing more annoying than a constant beeping sound at 2 in the morning. I replaced all my smoke detectors with the Kidde detectors last year and I couldn't be happier.

I’m not a fire alarm detector or anything else.. The reason why I’m interested in this product is because of the life span and longevity of it..This last for ten years!!!!!

Easy to install and a great value! Only comment is regarding the mounting plate/bracket. The issue was the mounting plate only had holes in it for the larger electrical boxes with 4-1/2” spacing. My smoke detectors were all wired through standard single gang switch boxes with 4” hole spacing. The mounting plate had barely enough room for me to drill holes to allow it to be mounted.

I bought this to replace the same product whose battery life had come to an end. I love the fact that it has long lasting batteries and I don’t have to be changing batteries once a year.
