We have this on a fire tablet (not kids version, running the app on it to use it as one) with my VERY rough and tumble 8 year old. This kid has shattered 2 kids fire tablets (7 and 8) and a switch screen at this point - he is VERY hard on stuff and drops his tablet regularly. We put this case and a glass screen protector on it in June/July, and it is now January and there isn't a single scuff on the case or tablet at all. The stand works phenomenally, and I like that it can also be used as a handle to carry it. Dirt and grime get under it just like any other case, and it doesn't have magical waterproof abilities, but for a standard run of the mill case it's better than we could have asked for and works so much better than the foam amazon kids cases. Image quality on the back of the case and the colors are vibrant and great!

I ordered a couple of other cases and was disappointed that they didn’t feel sturdy. I decided to go with this case. It was more expensive but is definitely worth the extra cost. It fits the tablet perfectly and feels of quality material. The stand works great and it feels like it will protect the tablet very well.

Purchased for a tablet we got for our Granddaughter, it seems to be a good fit and we have confidence it will adequately protect the tablet. She also really likes the decorative design on it.

I guess I'm a little weird. I lay on my side and read my Kindle to fall asleep. For that to work I lock the screen in portrait mode, but lay it on a long side so it's right side up from my perspective. I had a 7" HDX forever, but when it died a tragic death and I upgraded to the new 10" Fire, my arm quickly got tired holding it up so I could read.Most cases are designed for using the Kindle like a laptop: you're sitting up looking slightly down at it, so they lean back too far for me. This one holds the Kindle as close to upright as it can without the Kindle wanting to fall forwards, and it's perfect for me. The stand snaps into place at deeply tilted, nearly vertical, and handle mode, but it's stiff enough (at least so far) to allow almost any angle you want.I've been using it for hours every day for a couple months, and it's showing no signs of wear. I haven't tested it's drop protection, but the edges are not slippery and the stand does double as a handle which would be great for kids.

Make sure you know what generation and model your tablet is!! There are very small difference, like button placement, and it won't fit right if you have a different generation of the same model!It was time to upgrade my 11 year old's fire tablet and this was a good option for the Fire HD Kids Pro tablet 10.1". He has gotten older and wanted something that didn't look like the kids bumper that comes with the younger Fire Kids tablets. We were worries about the tablet surviving because he is still clumsy and rough with his stuff but decided to give this a try.Overall, this case worked out well. It is a thin, clean profile that is a snug fit on the tablet. The back has a stand that flips down and feels secure when setting it up for hands free. The material is a tough plastic that is surprisingly durable for how thin it is. Although it doesn't have the same level of drop protection as the foam case, it definitely is strong enough to take some knocks and bumps.Only thing that would improve it would be more than just 3 colors. The teal is nice, the blue is good, but I wish there were more options.I recommend this for older kids who don't require the extreme protection of the bouncy foam case, but still need something. I definitely recommend pairing it with a screen protector since the screen is flush with the edge of the case.Recommended for kids 7+
