This is a load of crap. DO NOT BUY IT. Unless I'm wrong, there is no way to turn on the LEDs. Instructions are horrible. Save your money and do not buy this for any reason.

Bought this for my 8-year old grandson - I haven't gifted it yet but I think he'll really enjoy it! Might as well learn while you're playing, right?

No light so you need to use your phone light or a flash light. So that makes the carrying it around off the stand basically pointless. At least if your indoors. Maybe the sunlight in full sun will help. Even a tiny light would go a far way for this. And for that I give it 3 stars. It does work and is a good idea.

I expected that the vision would be very in depth but it wasn’t zooming in enough to see microscopic images. I got this for my 5yr old for Christmas and I’ll be returning it for a better one.

This is a powerful toy for my kids that can be used as a microscope, a telescope, or even a camera. It is compact and perfect for kids to play with. My son, even though he is only 5 years old, was actually able to adjust the focus easily on his own. I watched his little hands twisting the focus knob and his little head coming close to the eyepiece with great concentration. The microscope provided clear magnification, and the fine structure of insect wings, and the structure of leaves, were all clearly seen, better than I expected. I've bought other telescopes for my kids before, and they were either too complicated or the hard to focus and the imaging was blurry. This one's different, though, and it's easy to carry around. When we went on a trip last week, my son used it to take lots of nice pictures and even checked out distant landscapes through it like a telescope. My son just can't get enough of it, never gets bored playing with it!
