These tennis rackets are adorable; I wish adult rackets had such fun designs. They are very lightweight and are the perfect size for my 3 and 5-year-olds to play with. I can imagine it being small for 8+ year-olds, though. I love that it came with so many accessories- especially the bright yellow carrying bag that makes it easy to identify as the kids'. However, the included balls were so hard and lacked bounce. While the racket strings don’t provide the best bounce either, it’s a minor issue for beginners learning to aim and hit. Overall, this is a great starter set, but I would recommend definitely swapping out the balls if used for training.

This is great size for my 8 year old daughter, Just remember to check the handles, there was a sharp spot on one of the handle that almost hurt me.

My kids wanted to try their hand in tennis and before putting a lot of money into it, I thought this was a nice starter set.Upon arrival, the sizes were good and light for my kid's to properly control their swing which is great to avoid injury or learn bad habits in their form. Because they were easy to control, they could focus on the fundamentals and their form rather than try to hold onto the racket. It comes with everything you need to get started. We have a lot of tennis balls, so I would serve it to them to serve it back, so don't really use the tether on the ball, but it's great they though of that to keep the ball in one place rather than waste energy getting tennis balls, so it's a good individual trainer. I do suggest the method of having some serve to you to simulate real situations if you have more than one person though. Overall, everything feels sturdy and I tried a few smashes that it really felt smooth. Overall, really good starter set.

The product came in nice package. The racks are nice and good but the ball that attach to the heavyweight was not really bound well. It was ok but not as good as I expected since the normal tennis ball were bouncing, I expected kinda the ball bounced well. That was the negative thing so far from the first day playing.

My 3 and 5-year-olds are doing their first tennis camp this summer, so we got them these rackets to start learning to hit the ball correctly. The set came with 2 rackets of different lengths (one is 19.5 inches and one is 21.5 inches), a bag to carry them in, one loose tennis ball, and one tennis ball attached to a rebound weight. These are perfect sizes for them, and they are so lightweight it is incredibly easy for them to swing. It is a plus that one is shorter in handle length, but the racket face is still the same size, which is perfect for our youngest. The grips are also the same size on both rackets, about 1.25 inches wide from the front of the racket. My kids have small hands and they are able to easily grip it. The grips are soft and non-slip, and there is shock absorption around the top of the racket. My only con about this set is the rebound trainer. It was easy to fill with water and seemed very sturdy. It was also easy to attach the ball that was on the cord to the weight. However, my 3-year-old had the tennis ball off of the cord in a few minutes. He pulled on it just a little, and it caused the ball to come off. For an older child who likely wouldn't pull on it, I do think you still might run into the issue of the ball coming off of the cord if they hit it hard enough.Overall, this is a great first tennis set for our kids.

I had a tennis snap back trainer like this when I was growing up and I spent countless hours in the middle of the road hitting balls and making up games with friends. I got this to share with my grandchildren who are just the right age to start,The base and the rackets are just fine...but the string on the ball was literally frayed right out of the box so badly that I felt someone else must have abused it...but the ball was unmarked. It is just a cheap cord and it broke on our first day of use. I ordered three balls and strings from another amazon vendor with good reviews for 10 bucks so that we can enjoy this in the future. The kids loved it while it lasted and are now just hitting the loose second ball against the garage wall. The other thing customers should know is that there is NO instruction sheet or ordering accessory information packed in the box. Fortunately...the amazon page is helpful and it is not difficult. I really like the quality of the downsized racket as a first racket...and there's nothing wrong with the base...but be prepared to buy some backup ball/strings along with your order if you want it to last the day!

My 10 year old was interested in trying tennis, so we got him this set to try out the hand-eye coordination in the driveway. The rackets are good enough for starting out. Sized appropriately and light enough for small arms to swing it.What he really likes was the ball on a string, which allows this to be a one player practice game. After a few minutes of learning curve, he was off and running for the rest of the afternoon.Happy with the value on this one, potentially a good entry into the sport!
