One of our great-great nephews is close to three years old and is a really sweet little boy. For some reason, this little guy likes to wear a white cowboy hat, (even though his parents and grandparents are as "horsey" as Emily Post). We had never heard of a big buckle belt for little cowboys, but when we saw this, we had to get it for him. It is a necessary thing for a little cowboy! We ordered the one with the horse on it; when it arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find it was a sturdy, well-made belt! It is so well-made that he will be able to pass it on to his little brother or sister that is on the way.

I have totally mixed feelings about this belt, though I'm going to use it. I was convinced it wasn't really leather, but my husband is convinced it actually is leather-- and I was able to smell a leather scent (so did my husband) and, compared to a non-leather belt I had next to it, I could smell a difference. The fact is, though, I think it's a cheaply made leather belt. It's split leather rather than cowhide and split leather is what's left when you remove the top layers. So, it definitely feels like vinyl. And, it's not full or top grain, which has suede on the back and is usually very flexible and comfortable. this is two layers of split layer sewn together and it seems to be machine embossed, not hand-tooled. So, I'm not really thrilled with it. But, to be fair, it's sold as a child's belt, and children will likely outgrow it and need a new belt. I ordered it for myself knowing I'd replace the western style buckle, which I did. It really FEELS like a thick vinyl belt, not a leather belt. It FEELS like a thick vinyl belt-- it isn't soft and pliable like leather is.I'm actually sort of disappointed and not sure I'll really wear it, but I might see if there's something I can do to make it more flexible and pliable. If not, I'll probably not wear it. But it is exactly as advertised despite it feeling like vinyl

My nephew is going through a "cowboy" phase so I got him this belt to wear. The belt is made of very good quality leather with tight stitching and it's embossed with a western design. The removable buckle is also of very nice quality and the steer head design is very attractive. Overall, I am very pleased with this and I'm sure my nephew will love it.

I got this for my young son to use with his jeans and cowboy boots. He has been asking for his own belt and buckle, so I decided to give this product a try.I was immediately impressed by the quality of the buckle. It felt heavy and made out of metal. There are lots of details in the design, and I especially love the smooth and shininess of the horse on the buckle. It looks great on his jeans and he is very proud of it too.The belt is also pretty decent and resembles an actual leather belt. Overall, this reminds me of something I'd find at the swap meet or maybe in the kid's section of a boot barn, or similar.

Very nice belt for kids. I have a very skinny child and it fits him great. Looks stylish and really does a good job holding up his pants. Also easy to unbuckle which is great for him. The belt buckle is removable so you can use the belt with your own buckle. Overall it's nice.
