My KS eten dropper was 3 years old. It just recently stopped working and stayed in a lower position. It blew the gasket and leaked oil (I did not discover this until it was removed). This was a simple replacement taking about 5 minutes. Remove the dropper post from the bike, unscrew the silver nut holding the piston to the post. Push the bottom sleeve up to grab onto the piston and unscrew. Insert replacement piston. Screw to the post. Add the nut to the piston base. Screw the nut to the bottom shell of the post. Put back on the bike. Now, I did this to another bike years ago but the original post and replacement piston did not last 12 months each. Hope this one last longer. This on is used on my ebike just to lower the seat making it easier to swing my leg on or off.

Exact same one. Fixed my sagging dropper post. Mine would not come up all the way anymore and this fixed it.
