As a passionate woodworker always on the quest for the perfect tool, I stumbled upon the King Arthur Guinevere Total Sanding Kit. Promising to be the Excalibur of sanding tools, especially for intarsia work, I was ready to crown it as the ruler of my workshop. But alas, this tale is more tragedy than triumph.🌟 The Good:Unmatched for Intarsia: This kit is the best tool for intricate intarsia work once you crack the code.Quality Results: When properly used, the sanding units deliver excellent finishes.👎 The Bad:Princely Price, Peasant Package: At a whopping $289, you'd expect a treasure chest. Instead, it arrives in a bag barely more significant than a royal decree (8x6 inches).Instructions Fit for a Jester: The manual is about as clear as mud from the moat. Prepare to sacrifice a few sanding units to the gods of trial and error.Customer Service? More Like Customer Desertion: Reaching their support is like trying to pull Excalibur from the stone - seemingly impossible and incredibly frustrating.💸 Value for Money:It might be worth considering if this kit was priced around $150. At its current price point, it feels like highway robbery sanctioned by the crown.👨🔧 Personal Experience:After wrestling with the cryptic instructions and wasting precious sanding units, I finally unlocked the kit's potential. The results were impressive, but the journey to get there was more perilous than a quest for the Holy Grail.📞 Customer Service Saga:Two messages were sent into the void of their website, and a month later, there was still no response. It's as if their customer service department is trapped in the mists of Avalon.🏷️ Return Policy Warning:Beware of the Draconian return policy! You must wait 30 days for a refund, and they'll deduct for any used products. It's easier to escape the Lady of the Lake than this policy. The Final Verdict:The King Arthur Guinevere Total Sanding Kit is a classic tale of "heavy lies the crown." It's the undisputed champion for intarsia work, but the exorbitant price, poor instructions, and non-existent customer support make it hard to recommend wholeheartedly. If you're a serious intarsia enthusiast with gold in your coffers and the patience of a saint, this might be your Holy Grail. Consider more budget-friendly alternatives, or wait for a significant price drop for everyone else.Rating: ⭐⭐½ (2.5/5 stars)In the end, this kit proves that even in the world of woodworking, uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.--Anthony A. Unfortunately when we purchased this, it was sold under the premise replacement sleeves and drums could be purchased in Canada - however they cannot be. It works great - when it works. The air comes out of the drums very easily so more time is spent inflating them , then actual sanding. Super frustrating for the amount of money spent on it. Messaged seller with no response
