I recently tried the Kingfisher Fly Fishing Dacron Braided Fly Line Backing for Fly Fishing Trout, and it's quickly become a reliable part of my rig. The braided Dacron material offers impressive durability and minimal stretch, ensuring a secure wrap on my reel during those challenging trout runs. While the backing performs well overall, I did notice a slight increase in friction during retrieval, which could be refined with a bit more polish in the design. Overall, it's a solid choice for any fly angler seeking dependable support in their fly fishing setup.

Got the orange and man is it nice! The quality of the line is superb and the amount you get from one spool is great! Perfect for fly fishing rods and is very strong.

✍️ I ordered this 330 yard 30lb purple backing for my size 8 reel. It was useful to give my large reel some extra yardage in case a large fish takes off with it. It was easy to tie and dacron braid is as strong as any other backing I have ever used. I didn't run into any problems with tangling. The purple color is easy to see in the brown or green water I would fish in. The price makes it a great value. Great braided line. Super thin and casts off your reel very smoothly. It is very strong and almost invisible in the water for those shy fish. Great value.

Affordable Quality ! I got 330 yards of the same backing the Name Brands sell but those suppliers will sell you 100yds. for twice the price.Great product with a wide range of colors Highly reccomended.

I got the yellow 30lb braided line and this is great quality for the money. The color is excellent for my mainline, the yellow is easy to see in murky waters. The braided line is done well, it doesn’t have any issues when I cast. The line is easy to tie knots and doesn’t fray. I would recommend this to anyone looking at braided line.

Love this line an use it for purposes other than fishing. It's really strong and super bright - I got the yellow one and love the color. I use it for tying things on my loom if something breaks. So I can't speak to how well it will work fishing, it certainly will hold up to other uses that need strong, thin line. I would love to get this in every color offered.Recommended.

This fly reel line backing is great quality and is a good value for 330 yards, which is enough to spool on to numerous fly reels. It consists of Dacron braid in a 20lb. size which is more than sufficient for the fly fishing I do. As all fly fishers already know every fly reel needs a fly reel line backing such as this product to fill up the reel to a certain point first prior to adding the fly line so that the reel is full and functions properly with the fly line. The backing line also serves the purpose of adding more length to the fly line in case you hook a fish that takes out all the fly line so that your fly line does not break off the reel and you end up not only losing the fish but also your espensive fly line. This product comes installed on a thick plastic spool with a center hole for easy installation on a fly reel, and has a good label on it for reference to the line weight for future reference when spooling other fly reels with it. This line is available in 7 different colors and they all will work fine but I prefer the flourescent orange since it is the easiest for me to see both in and out of the water. Based upon the quality and value of this product I recommend it to other fly fishers out there.
