Foam was glued down on one side wrong curving it up, still useable just kind of irritating. Tried lifting it and moving it to the proper spot but it started to tear mid way through. Picture makes it look like it comes with an extra piece of foam for the outside of the box which I liked for drying flys before putting them back in the box but it doesn't, just the two inside pieces.

This thing is a beast! Much larger than your typical fly box, it has room for just about anything you can huck with a fly rod. We fish a lot for musky and big lake trout, and that means some fairly large "flies" are being flung around with regularity. And many of the flies have trailer hooks which can easily become tangled. This large box is perfect for keeping the big stuff organized and secure. I also like the exterior foam for keeping track of the used flies while they dry. This case is nice quality for the price with latches that work reliably (plenty secure but still easy to operate with gloves). I now have several boxes from Kingfisher and all of them are fantastic. I have had a small problem with the foam un-sticking itself a few times, but so far I have been able to just push it back in place. Overall this is a great box that you can't beat within this price range.

I was looking for some boxes to store gear in on my boat, and these worked out great! I’ve been storing my soon fish in them, along with some homemade jigs, and they keep them secured. The plastic is thick, and the latches secure nicely. The storage size is perfect for what I needed it for, so happy I found some solid boxes. I expect this to last me a very long time, so it’s definitely a good value!

I fly fish from a kayak and a paddleboard and I almost exclusively use Tacky Pescadors for my streamers but I'm always terrified of dropping them into the lake and losing them forever. I've been wanting a boat box for a while to keep all of my larger streamers organized and at the ready for when I need them. A drying patch for me is a necessity. I really wanted the MFC boat box (wanted one for like 10 years now) because of the gasket that keeps it waterproof but the drying patch is an extra expense on top of a 100 dollar boat box. I also like the idea of only 2 latches, especially for sight fishing if I need to change flies really fast I don't want to fumble with 4 latches. I'll probably end up with an MFC box one day but this is a very nice first boat box. This Kingfisher box is mega quality for the money. I'm sure the box is just mass-produced overseas somewhere and they (among others) slap their logo on it and call it good. However, Kingfisher doesn't gouge you (looking at you Umpqua and Scientific Anglers!). For the 25 and change I paid for this boat box it came with a drying patch. Killer box! If you're thinking about one, don't hesitate.

This is a solid fly box that is large enough to fit big streamers without crushing spun deer heads or bending the feathers. While the dimensions of this box are featured well on the item description, I didn't realize how big this box was until the package came and I opened it up and I was pleasantly surprised. This is a solid box, suitable for a boat or storage, locks well to prevent accidental opening, and the foam inside keeps the streamers in place well. Again, this is a BIG BOX. 14 inches by 11 inches and it's 4 inches tall. This isn't going to fit in your vest. But it'll fit well in a boat or your bag.The box came with an additional foam sheet that is meant to put on the outside of the box so you can have streamers or large dries close at hand.I haven't tried this, thankfully, but the plastic and foam of the box make it clear that this would be bobbing along the surface of the water if it fell in, making it a lot easier for possible recovery.I can't wait to get this box filled with streamers so I can target trout and pike in my area.

This KingFisher fly fishing box for streamers and large flies is great quality and sturdy being made out of ABS plastic for long term durability. It is a large size with strong sliding latches and big handle for easy transport, and closes tight with no gap for waterproof protection. There is an extra foam insert included for adhering to the top outside of the lid which can be used to dry wet flies before inserting them back inside the box. This extra foam piece has a 3M peel & stick strong adhesive backing with the KingFisher logo on it. There are long sturdy hinges which cover almost the entire back and molded feet for storing the box in an upright verticle position. The foam inserts are made with dense foam and long slits that will keep a tight hold on the fly hooks. I like to tie larger flies that range from bunny flies and streamers all the way up to 12" pike & musky flies, which will fit perfect in this fly box. I also like the mint green color of this box instead of the normal black which makes it easier to visually locate when amongst other fishing tackle. Based upon the quality, features and fair price of this fly box I recommend it to all other fly fishermen who use streamers and larger flies.

This is a great streamer box or a great storage box if you have lots of extra flies. The holes in the foam are great for jig eyes. The latches are secure but it would be great if it was water proof. The box is way too big to actually bring with you but has lots of storage. Overall a decent product.
