The larger ones fit perfectly over the ends of 8 cords of 1.5 mm I’m using with my weave wheel

I'm new to jewelry making, not going to lie, but I was expecting to just crimp/close these without issue. Instead I'm finding they are difficult to close, if they do close, & require gluing to secure them. The two sides/wings do not seem to be folding over each other correctly and therefore it never closes right. Once in a while I find a good one that closes correctly, but those are far and few in between
