I really wanted to like this camera. Unfortunately, this camera was a complete failure. The good: the app worked great to connect to the camera with the built-in wifi. Also, superficial build quality seemed reasonable. That's about it for the good. We used it for both wildlife and security near a road in our woods. It was paired with another camera from a different brand. That camera caught and recorded wildlife and a few cars using the road during both day and night hours. The KJK camera, however, more often than not did not record either the same wildlife or the cars. It actually failed on every car, even though the cars passed right in front at low speed (approximately 5 mph). When it did record wildlife, the focus was completely off, unless the animal was within a few inches of the camera. A deer recorded 5 feet away was completely blurry. It's possible we received one that was defective from the factory. We returned this product and bought a different brand (Garde Pro). The new camera from the other manufacturer is MUCH better and is everything we hoped the KJK would be. The new camera was a bit more expensive, but the KJK was useless at its price. But, like I said, maybe we just got a defective camera and others will have a better experience.

Pros: Comes with a memory card. Comes with batteries (8). Comes with a variety of mounting options. The app sets up rather easy.Con: It has a 5 second delay between detecting motion and taking the picture or video. To me, this is problematic. A lot -- if not most -- critters easily move in and move out of frame before the camera even takes the shot. I really thought there was something wrong with the camera because I have an older camera that was catching still photos, yet this newer, higher resolution camera wasn't registering ANY photos or videos.Contacted customer service. They responded quickly to my concerns and also informed me that the camera will not take photos while connected to the app and phone. If this was in the instructions, then I missed it. But, Customer Service was helpful.I don't know if the 5 second time lapse can be adjusted with a firmware update or if it's just how it's going to be. It takes nice clear pictures -- when it catches something in time.

The mount allows the trail cam to be installed practically anywhere, plus the strap could be used in the traditional way in the woods. The app displays the battery life, temperature and storage space. The app makes it easy to see, download or delete photos and videos. I’m happy with the picture quality and overall ease of operation. We bought the Trail Camera as a way to find out what was eating all the plants in the garden.

I recently purchased the KJK228 Trail Camera, and I must say, it has exceeded all my expectations! As an avid wildlife enthusiast, I've tried various cameras over the years, but this one truly stands out for several reasons.First off, the innovative Wi-Fi connection and APP control make it incredibly user-friendly. The dedicated "TrailCam GO" app is a game-changer, allowing me to program the camera and check photos and videos on the go without the hassle of downloading them first. The inclusion of a 64GB memory card and 8 AA batteries right out of the box is a fantastic bonus, ensuring that I was ready to start capturing moments immediately. The image quality is simply stunning. With an incredible 84MP still image resolution and the capability to shoot UHD 8K videos, I was amazed at how clear and detailed every shot was. The premium starlight optical lens truly shines, especially in low-light conditions. Speaking of low-light, the night vision feature is remarkable. The 42-piece 950nm No-Glow LED array captures crisp images and videos in complete darkness without disturbing any wildlife. It’s impressive how well the adaptive illumination technology works.I also love the fast trigger speed of 0.05 seconds and the 130° wide-angle detection. I've caught so many exciting moments that I might have otherwise missed. The camera's ability to take 1-5 photos per trigger gives me the flexibility to capture the scene the way I want. The custom camo pattern is an effective touch, making the camera blend seamlessly into its environment.Lastly, the upgrade to IP67 waterproofing gives me peace of mind knowing it can withstand various weather conditions. Having tested it in both hot and cold environments, I can confirm its durability and reliability.Overall, the KJK228 Trail Camera is an exceptional product that I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone interested in wildlife photography or outdoor adventures. It’s easy to use, boasts incredible image quality, and offers great durability. It’s without a doubt a worthy investment for capturing the beauty of nature!
