My father is a deacon with his church in California, and I knew he would appreciate this. I sent it to him for Christmas and he loved it. He said it came with a charge on it already and he was able to use it right away. He has to help prepare sermons for Sunday and can use this to double check facts before proceeding. He is also one of those people that has read the bible back to front many times, so having someone read it to him is pretty cool. He is not the most computer savy man, but was able to navigate his way around after reading the manual for only a little bit of time. He says it charges easily, and the charge actually lasts for quite a long time.He is very happy with this gadget and so based on his review, I can recommend this electronic bible.....

The charging cord has two c ends and the plug sent with it takes an A . I need a C plug

It is easy to use. I got a puppy who makes it hard to read my Bible like I want to. Now I can listen to it while I play or walk her! Good sound quality and pleasant voice.

I bought this for my parents who are in an assisted living. They've lost their ability to use a cell phone and therefore couldn't get to their bible app. This was easy enough to use. And they can hear it too!

Physical buttons are easy to find and operating is very simple. Navigating from book to book, chapter to chapter, from new and old testament is very intuitive and straight forward. Excellent for the elderly, and even the visually impaired. Of course, if one does not have a physical limitation, this device is also great. Price is very reasonable. Sound quality is not bad. It is also very portable.
