ordered this o-ring (2 in package) for whirlpool whcf-dwhv whole house filter that I purchased in 2005. it was a perfect fit with no leaks. the old ring had gotten a little stretched and was difficult to get to lay flat when I'd put a new filter in. that led to leakage a couple different times...I'd like to add a tip for installing new filters. when you turn the control back to the "filter" position, only turn slightly at first. let the housing fill up slowly and completely, maybe taking a minute or more. this will prevent air in the system and sediment from kicking up in your pipes. otherwise, you'll need to bleed the air out at the tub or other source that doesn't have a screen (faucets).

Was very disappointed. The O-rings don't fit like they ought too. They are just a bit too small. I wasn't able to see this until I changed the filter today. The additional disappointment is that I don't believe this item can be returned (according to link on Amazon). Disappointed that I'm stuck with $9 in useless rubber.
