My home was pre wired for a 5.1 system. I decided to go with these over the 5800 series to save a few bucks. They sound terrific. Even using one as a center channel speaker in the ceiling didn't seem to impact my listening experience like I was worried about. You can aim the woofer and tweeter independent of each other which really helped. You'll probably get a better listening experience with tower speakers and a dedicated center channel speaker but the upgrade from a Samsung sound bar to 5 of these hooked up to an Onkyo 6050 receiver is outstanding! Music listening is great as well. Watching movies is my favorite thing to do now!
